Quality Vs Cost

You can often decide how extravagant your design or print should be based on the value of the service or products that you are selling.

If you provide luxury yachts then you should probably have great design and print using spot UV, embossing, foil or any other finishing which suits your design. But if you provide cardboard boxes it may be excessive to fork out a lot of money on design and print.

I say this as food for thought though as we all know that looking better than your competitor is important and there is nothing to stop a label supplier from having awesome design and outstanding print.

The necessity of your service or product is also important. If you are providing what people need this could mean you can cut back on the costs of producing your brochure. If you are providing what people want then creating a brochure that ties in with that makes more sense.

Making sure you choose a level of design or printing that is appropriate for what you are selling can avoid costly and unnecessary spending.

Your audience will always understand improvements as they receive further items and this can also reflect very well, as opposed to the audience seeing a product go down in luxury and therefore presuming a decline in your business quality.

Even with all the above in mind if you give someone your business card or brochure they are likely to judge what sort of company you are based on the only thing they have as a guide other than your personality...Your design and your print.
